Lyrics:
All that you touch, and all that you see
And all that you taste, all that you feel
And all that you love, and all that you hate
And all you distrust, and all that you save
And all that you give, and all that you deal
And all that you buy, beg borrow or steal
And all you create, and all you destroy
And all that you do, and all that you say
And all that you eat, and everyone you meet
And all that you slight, and everyone you fight
And all that is now, and all that is gone
And all that's come, and everything under the sun is in tune
But the sun is eclipsed by the moon

| I think this song is the ultimate conclusion of life. This entire album revolves around life, throughout all it's realistically depressing aspects and this song sums it all up. Life is meaningless. Everything you do in life, no matter how big it is, is meaningless - time, money, war, sanity and death have the same importance as eating, talking, meeting people, etc. you may think that you're doing a lot. I mean the things described in this song and in this entire album are things that stand in the center of every person's life. but at the end of the day, it's all nothing. It's interesting that they chose to compare our stupid little lives to the sun, which is one of the most powerful, constant things in universe. As if to emphasize just how small and meaningless our lives are compared to the sun and the moon... An amazing song. | |

| I love how this song has you waiting til the end. I pretty much agree with all of the above and congratulate you for coming up with it, because those were some deep thoughts. | |

| The last two lines are key to this tune for sure. I think "...in tune." is talking about all of creation and although chaotic at times it really is in tune, especially where man hasn't mucked it up. "...eclipsed by the moon" is a refference to something infinatly small blocking out the big picture, so to speak. An allegory to distant Heaven and present Earth and how a small thing can COMPLETLY block out and make dark our vision of who we are and where we're going. | |

| My view on this song is basically what everyone else has said, and also that everything appears to be good and perfect on the surface, but underneath everything is fucked up. Also worth noting is something missing in the lyrics. At the end during the heartbeat if you turn it up really loud you can hear, "There is no dark side of the moon really. Matter of fact its all dark". That means that the "Dark Side of the Moon" (insanity) in just life and the whole world is fucked. | |

| i always thought how the last line of the song "the sun is eclipsed by the moon" was really creative, because it ties in with the name of the album in the sense that when the sun is eclipsed by the moon we see "the dark side of the moon". | |

| everything that we have experienced in our lives has shaped who we are. many of you may disagree with me, but before this song (well, one with lyrics that is) is brain damage. the mental health system suffocated the man's spirit with medication and whatnot. the sights, sounds, experiences that shaped him have been erased with drugs/lobotomy/ etc. the moon, in my opinion, is whatever erased the determining factors in who he was. when you destroy your roots, you dont know who you are. everything under the sun is in tune, but the sun is eclipsed by the moon. | |

| at the very end of this song, before the mysterious tiny ending music, the man says "There is no darkside of the moon... as a matter of fact, its all dark" | |

| i love the last lines: "everything under the sun is in tune but the sun is eclipsed by the moon" i believe it means: everything is fine when there's light or happiness [sun], but that the light is covered [eclipsed] by the darkness or depression [the moon]. because the entire song leads up to those lines, he's saying that life is meaningless when you're depressed. | |

| i like the fact the darkside of the moon represents insanity, i never really thought abou t it this way until i read this forum. I think it could also be the end of life, "and all that's to come and everything under the sun is in tune but the sun is eclipsed by the moon" as if he is saying anything you own taht is material cannot be taken into the next life, | |

| The Last Lines In This Song Somehow Make Me Think That The Universe Is Perfect Without The Earth. "Everything Under The Sun Is In Tune, But The Sun Is Eclipsed By The Moon", So Basically, The Sun Is On Everything Except Us At That Point...Just A Thought | |
