	Some people play the second cd first, then the first cd right after. Thus this is the last song. So yes, in that context it is probably a suicide song.

	In contexted to the rest of the wall cd this song is when he finally losses his mind and retreats behind his brick wall in his mind he has created over the years to protect himself

	The first few entries are hillarious. "Not a suicide" "It's only him giving in"... It is only him giving up and hiding behind a wall... but what do you think suicide is? It isn't somebody just saying "Hey, today's a beautiful day to die, isn't it?" Suicide is somebody "finally giving in (and up)" to dispair. Suicide is hiding behind a wall there's no re-entrance from. I think the closest people were Mahakala and Criticq. If you've seen the movie, you've also seen a few things that WOULD point to it being a suicide note. Remember it doesn't have to be successful to be an attempted suicide. First and most obviously is "Pink" floating face down in pool with blood on the water. And also the fact that his character HAD just given in completely and would have offed himself if the manager hadn't come in and forced him back on stage. Yeah, yeah suicide is bad and Pink Floyd is good and only true fans would see it's not a suicide note... and all that other b/s. Realistically if you look at the bands reaction to this album and take into account that Waters was pretty much bottomed out then you'd see it probably was a suicide note... But just a note. Some people's morals get in the way before they can finish the act. Also think about the idea that this was one of the most heart-felt albums by Pink Floyd. Roger Waters put his soul into these songs. According to him he was "faced with a decision" and "The Wall was the picture I drew for myself to help me make that choice."

	damn straight, im glad you're another person who listens to the entire album before making conclusions. i was afraid i'd see ingnorant people saying it was a suicide song.

	Listening to this song, I imagine Pink piling up the bricks, building his wall. The sudden "goodbye" at the very end is the last brick laid.

	ok all dont worry im hear to clear this up. Ok now dont judge this song unless you have listened to the cd and seen the movie perferably both and way more than once. I own both and to properly examine this song i watched the movie scene. This is not a suicide song. It is a bit after "one of his turns" comes on and he has finaly realized he has snaped. He has noticed he is never going to be pink anymore which refrences on later in the movie "Pink isnt well hes back at the hotel". All of this song is just the breakdown of who he was in his mind and the hello to the who he is now. case closed
