| Aww! Well, everyone has one of those days every once in a while! Ofcource it's a joke, more or less, but I love it, so simple and nice. I've never actually heard Meddle straight (always stoned or something, out of principle, because I dont want it to be getting old, hearing it again and again. It's just too good) so I hardly remember anything other then what I wrote in my diary at the time. | |

| Played backwards, this song says: "It's acting" (this is "very theatrical" backwards, and it's hard to make out) "nice, that's the way I need" "nice, that's the way, that's the way" "why" | |

| By the way, everyone who likes rare Floyd tracks needs to search the site I gave above. It is amazing. While it is not free, you can get songs from anywhere between $0.02 (A New Machine pt. 2) and $0.77 (27 minute Echoes). | |

| I have read that it is a sexual entendre. (I don't know how explicit I can be here but) Seamus is the male part, the kitchen is the female, and he is being oral. Then he lost his ability to perform. I actually read an entire paper on this. I just think it was the boys having some fun. | |

| Relics 5/10 (Good, but for soem reason i prefer Waters and Gilmour to Barrett) Meddle 10/10 (Seamus is GOOD despite what you say) DSTOM 9/10 (I love it, but it's overrated, too popular, i like to be individual) WYWH 10/10 (It's brilliant, equal to Meddle in my opinion) The Wall 7/10 (It's good, but there are too many songs on it i don't like very much, i find myself starting CD2 from track 6 every time...naturally) AMLOR 8/10 (It's a GOOD album, most Floyd albums are, despite what any of you say, i just don't really like A New Machine (both parts) because it sucks.) Division Bell 6/10 (Basically Gilmour just trying to revive the old Pink Floyd sound, still good, a few of the songs are worth it, Poles Apart, High Hopes, Coming Back To Life etc.) Animals 10/10 (Brilliant, Meddle, Animals, WYWY, all good) PULSE 9/10 (Too many Division Bell songs, but CD2 is brilliant, Breathe live, magnificent.) Echoes, best of... 8/10 (CD2 is good, but they killed Shine On and Echoes.) Welcome to the Remix 1/10 (Megamix Twentyone is good, i like being able to place all the songs, but the others, like the American Brick in the Wall is CRAP.) | |

| Not just because of that, here is everything I have against that album, relatively in order of magnitude: Shortening Echoes - not only did they shorten it, it is painstakingly obvious where they did so, as the flow is interrupted to such an extent that I can't even listen to it, that's why I did not say (in my earlier post) that they shortened, I said they killed it. Because they did. Shortening of SoYcD - you do have to give them credit for combining the two sections, though... I was really rather hoping for the whole thing Shortening of Marooned - not my favorite instrumental, but honestly, how do you cut it down to two minutes Picking Sheep - any (and I mean any) other choice from animals would have been better, Dogs being the best Not including Biding My Time - this is one of those songs that really shows just how good musicians the members of PF were, this song sounds really true to its genre, despite not being PF's forte, definitely should've appeared here Hey You - yeah, this is a little thing, but it doesn't seem important enough to warrant a spot here that might have been better devoted to a song such as Let There Be More Light or Julia Dream, as Saucerful was underrepresented and Julia Dream is just a good song More and OBC - zero, count them, you can do it without using any hands, zero songs from either of these two albums, granted they weren't great, but Cymbaline or Green is the Color would have done More justice here, and Free Four would have been good as well There are other reasons, but they are all generally picky and a matter of personal preference rather than a matter of what would have made the album a better best of collection. Oh, and sambellanick, who says that Seamus isn't good? Easily makes my top 20. | |

| This song is my honorary favorite song, Echoes being my true favorite song. This song captures the entire essence of it's genre (British Blues), and it's not even PF's genre. Kind of like how The Nile Song captures the essence of heavy metal (I think). It's the only song in that vein that I enjoy. Also the only song off the entire More album that I enjoy. | |

| You possibly gave the Best Of CD 1/10 (Abysmal) just because they shortened Echoes to 16 mins and 30 secs, making 990 seconds. I'd give it that rating because they also shortened Marooned, an excellent instrumental, to TWO MINUTES!!! They also put in 7 parts of SOYCD without parts 8 and 9. I don't own that CD. It depends on what Windows Media Player gives its rating. It could've got 6/10 (Fair) or 5/10 (Mediocre). But that's just our opinions. Overall, I'll give it 3/10 (Bad) because they shortened the excellent instrumental Marooned and (of course) Echoes. | |

| Uh... well, yes of course it's the second best song on Meddle... It should because (the following list of PF albums I own and its ratings, according to Windows Media Player): Meddle: 8/10 (Great) Dark Side of the Moon: 9/10 (Superb) Wish You Were Here: 9/10 (Superb) Animals: ?/10 The Wall: 7/10 (Good) A Momentary Lapse of Reason: 2/10 (Awful) The Division Bell: 4/10 (Poor) As a fan of Extreme, I will put each of their 4 albums in a list along with their ratings: Extreme: 5/10 (Mediocre) Pornograffitti: 7/10 (Good) III Sides To Every Story: 5/10 (Mediocre) Waiting For The Punchline: 2/10 (Awful) | |

Never heard of extreme. | |

| I would say something to correct you, grindo, but at least you commented, so I'll keep it nice. Seamus is actually the second best song on Meddle, behind Echoes. Then One of these Days, and a three way tie of Fearless/San Tropez/A Pillow of Winds. | |

| Yes, Seamus does disrupt the album Meddle. It should have been included on some other album, perhaps as a bonus track on Obscured by Clouds. However, it is still amazing that Pink Floyd can capture a sound that is not even theirs better than anyone else. And if the dog is really in key, that's incredible. | |

| I have found a ten minute version of this song on: www.allofmp3.com! I have yet to buy it, but Thursday night (the 18th), I will have heard it and will post comments on it. I'm lookin forward to an amazing time. Along with this, I have found a 10 minute Fearless and a 27 minute Echoes. I've also found a 21 minute Shine On You Crazy Diamond (VI-IX), but that's not on Meddle, the best album ever created. | |
