I think this song describes how every guy feels at some point in their life.

The lyrics are quite good (as is the case with most of the Wall), but the music needed to be further developed (as is the case with most of the Wall). All in all, this is a very typical Wall song.

"Alright, I'll take care of them part of the time, but there's somebody else that needs taking care of in Washington" "Who's that?" "Rose Pilchitt!" "Rose Pilchitt? Who's that?" "SHUT UP!" "36-24-36. Does that answer your question?" "Oi! I've got a little black book with me poems in!" "Who's she?" "She was 'Miss Armoured Division' in 1961" "Where the hell are you?" "Over 47 German planes were destroyed with the loss of only 15 of our own aircrafts" "Where the hell are you, Simon?"

I've got the obligatory Hendrix perm And I've got the inevitable pinhole burns All down the front of my favorite satin shirt This is about a time the band went to play without Syd, who was to screwed up in the head to play at that specific time. Syd ended up putting a bunch of crap in his hair and coming out on stage. Before long it was a total mess dripping down on his shirt. "the obligatory Hendrix perm" is what Waters called Syd's hair style.
