I hope this helps, i've seen a few terrible tabs for this kicking around the place.

Main Verse:

e---------------------------------------------
B---------------------------------------------
G--x--x--x--x--x--x--x--x-----x---x--x---x----
D--7--5--7--5--7--5--7--5-----10--3--10--3----
A--7--5--7--5--7--5--7--5-----10--3--10--3----
E--5--3--5--3--5--3--5--3-----8---1--8---1----

(For the mute's on the G during the verse, she mutes the minor note of the chord...
and yes i'm sure, i saw her do it)

Chorus:

e--0--0--0--2--0--2----------------
B--0--3--3--3--1--3----------------
G--2--0--0--2--0--2----------------
D--2--0--2--0--2--0----------------
A--0--2--3--x--3--x----------------
E--x--3--x--x--x--x----------------

After the chorus there's a keyboard line which goes something like this:

e---------------------------------------------
B---------------------------------------------
G---------------------------------------------
D---------------------------------------------
A---------------------------------------------
E--5--5--5--5--3--3--3/8--8--8--8--1--1--1--1-

If you're playing it solo you could just use power chords (unless you have a second
guitar or a bass to play it though i'd suggest leaving it well alone)

Here's the lyrics as i know them... im 100% sure that they're right, but i'm only human.

Threw my bad fortune
Off the top of
A tall building
I'd rather have done it with you

Your boy's smile
Five in the morning
Looked into your eyes
And I was really in love

In chinatown
Hung over
You showed me
Just what I could do

Talkin' about
Time travel
And the meaning
And just what it was worth

And I feel like
Some bird of paradise
My bad fortune's
Slipping away

And I feel the
Innocence of a child
Everybody has
Something good to say

Things I once thought
Unbelievable
In my life
Have all taken place

When we walked through
Little Italy
I saw my reflection
Come right off your face

I paint pictures
To remember
You're too beautiful
To put it into words

Like a gypsy
You dance in circles
All around me
And all over the world

And I feel like
Some bird of paradise
My bad fortune's
Slipping away

And I feel the
Innocence of a child
Everybody has
Something good to say

And I feel like
Some bird of paradise
My bad fortune's
Slipping away

And I feel the
Innocence of a child
Everybody has
Something good to say

So I take my
Good fortune
And I fantasize
Of our leaving
Like some modern-day
Gypsy landslide
Like some modern-day
Bonnie and clyde

On the run again x4

It's like when you're in love with someone you can totally relate to and your self-motivation kicks in again because you have something to look forward to.

Given the dirth of respectable female role models in alternative music, it's no surprise that PJ is influenced by Patti. They're part of the same chain, as it were.

I have no idea what PJ is saying in this song except for "whoaaaa whoaaa whoaaa" in the beginning. An average song, nonethenless.

I can't tell you how much this song relates to me and my boyfriend. Just that line 'You boys smile, 5 in the morning, looked into your eyes and I was really in love' is just so true of us. God I sound all sickly but hey!
