| originally done by Big Star and is on their third release called "Sister Lovers" Also might find it under Alex Chilton. Although I'm a big fan of Big Star and Alex Chilton this cover blows the original away. The guy from Placebo has an awesome voice. This is seriously the saddest song I've ever heard, number 2 on that list is Goodbye by Plankeye. | |

| Well, I listen to this song a lot because it feels so personal... It's like having anxiety attacks that become so constant and controlling, and so you just want to lose everything because everybody else seems to be losing you. "Your mother's dead / she said / don't be afraid" That line resembles those optimistic thoughts that you try to receive whilst in your state of crappiness, but the perishing of everything else just twists optimism into something really fake so that you can't get out of it... you're a wasted mass of waste, even if it was your fault, or everything else helped carry it further. | |

| Brian Molko has the perfect voice for a song of this nature. Both the song and his voice are beautiful yet depressing and this song makes you appreciate the people and things around you so much more. | |
