	chilling, sad, beautiful. This song grew on me quickly from the first time I heard it. I think it's about acceptance of your actions and the fact that you can never truly escape, and yourself, to some degree, is to blame for all the wrongs in your life.

	I think chrisdku makes the most sense. And I think that damnthegovernment isn't smart. Songs aren't really that literate, unless its emo.

	Hi all Placebo fans, my first post here. Well I don't know - I agree with most of you here,but I think it might be also understood in a way that it is about being afraid to lose innocence - or virginity... That's what I get from some sentences... Like... "You want the sin without the sinner"- Sex without a partner - masturbation Also the same on this one - "You've got me wrapped around your finger" - She uses the finger instead of him,she is afraid of losing virginity hence losing innocence. And he understands all that - and the chorus goes: "The past will catch you up as you run faster" - the older she is - the more she is going to want to be a kid still... And also "The last in line is always called a bastard" - If she remains a kid , she will be critized (sp?) by this world - she will be made fun of... That's how I got it. Beautiful song,btw, it got me from the first time I heard it. AMAZING!

	I love this song. It fits my life at the moment. Everything is sort of wrong and you know it but you really dont know why its wrong or how to fix it. And really there is no point worrying because theres basically nothing you can do about it anyway.
