The clangy in between bits are just where you have a guitar with a floating bridge
and you hit the wrong side of it. If you get what I mean.
The strumming for the chorus is:
F5 - up and down
G#5 - fast down only
C5 - as above
B5 - up and down
Bb5 - fast down only

| An anthem for all the girly boys of the world, Nancy Boy represents the next generation of males who care as much about gender roles as modern girls do. You don;t have to do what you were told growing up as a boy, the world is open and waiting for you. Grab your mascara, get yourself a groovy skirt and live your life in total freedom. If, that is, you want to. Choice. That's what it's all about. Girls have been fighting for choice for the last century and boys, sorry, but you're being left behind. Forget sexuality for just one moment and do what the hell makes you feel happy. | |

| As my friend says, "Brian Molko is the sexiest ugly man alive." I lurve this song with some sort of passion. It just makes so much sense and none at all. | |

| I agree 100% with forevergreen, but what your failing to mention is the other character mentioned in the song..I think the song is about being scared of commiting sexually and scared of intimacy..like the mention of the paper bag..the guy wants the sex but can't stand to face his partner in the face during sex. If you watch the video you'll notice the girls face turn hideous and more masculine, this is represented (or at last i think) Brians early sexual partners..on the verge of coming he would feel complete repulse for them. | |

| It's all about the lead singer who isn't afraid to be feminine. I think it's a great song even if you can't understand what he's saying. | |
