| I think this is about how Brian and his Christianity, or the lack of it, 'if you deny this then its your fault, that Gods in crisis, hes over' means if you deny your Christianity then God is in crisis. And the Everytime I rise I see you falling' bit is about everytime Brian lets God out of his life and leaves his morals he has fun or does better in work but God falls out of his life, then he say 'Can you find me space in you bleeding heart' means he wants forgiveness for what he has done and wants God to welcome him again. Well thats how I see it anyway.... | |

| it's passive agressive because it's like, "if you deny this, then it's your fault"--- it's all giving hope but it's about hurt. | |

| I think it means: this guy who has come out of a relationship because he got dumped. and he tries to speak to the girl who just wont let him back in again and he thinks that if he can just be let back in again things will be okay, she will feel better again. And he steadily is getting over her 'everytime i rise' but as hes getting over her shes 'falling' and he just wants to help because he knows somethings wrong. | |

| It could be interpretated from the drug-addict wiew (once again). I mean, he has to concentrate to get his stuff, and the "if you deny this" part, is to someone 'denying' drugs. When he finally gets his stuff, the music changes and, perhaps the drug is coke, "everytime I rise I see you, falling" = as he gets higher, other people fall (in his eyes). The passive agressive-ness is perhaps in the drug-addict / observer relationship. I.e , the drug-addict knows he cannot convince the observer that this drug is 'the way to God'. So he gets passive intstead. | |

| Jesus , I heard the album version, I think, just a second ago. It's like trance? Which one is the real one? The trance version or the guitar version? The guitar version is 1000x better than the trance. | |

| Didn't Brian grow up in a re-born Christian household that was very strict? I think I read that he had to go and see a priest every week and that when he was at college he received a letter from this priest telling him he'd lost the way but would find it again, or somthing similar. Maybe this is about the pressure he felt from his family as his views contradicted his religion - 'If you deny this Then it's your fault That God's in crisis' | |

| Hey, anyone? How do you amend the lyrics. It says "He's over". It needs to be "He's over her". I love this song. | |

| I think this song is about someone who just got out of a relationship with someone and Brian and her just got into one but she isn't over the first guy and can't accept Brian's love because she isn't in love with him and Brian is discouraged because she won't accept him. ..somewhere on those lines. | |

| haha you guys are all wrong:).. Brian Molko used to live in Luxembourg and showed great leadership skills at an early age and then so almost became a priest. Instead he moved to london to study drama as he wanted to become and actor. Brian stoped going to church etc, he obviously turned away from the church/ religion. I think it would be taking it too far as to say that he is against religion and christianity and all that stuff, but to me this song is about Jesus. "God's in crisis, he's over". In this day and age people dont value morals and beliefs etc. Brian speaks of god as a trend and as we become more advanced, his trend is dying out. Brian speaks of a bleeding heart; "Everytime i rise i see you falling, can you find me a space inside your bleeding heart". At the crusisxion of Jesus, he was pierced in his side, I've always thought he was pierced through his heart.. I think its not so much that brian turned away from the church or god or whatever, i think its more that he feels that god turned away from him, like gods love for him has run out. Its not so much that someone feels unworthy or brian's love as someone wrote, i think its more that brian feels unwrothy of gods love. So if you put this song into the same context as one of brians love songs, he may seem arrogant or ambiguous when really he's eating humble pie. He's telling the story from the point of view of an ex-lover and he's heartbroken and feels let down etc. Its just that in this case, god plays the role of his ex-lover and he's writing a song about the aftermath of their realtionship. So anyway if you think about it, it makes sense.. | |

| i think its about somebody trying to help their loved one, but the loved one refuses to fix her problem, and denies that it could work out despite her feelings toward him. he just wants her to see that it can work, but she wont, and hes getting impatient and saying that if she doesnt accept his help then its her fault, and they will fall apart. thx! | |

| this song talks about being in love with someone troubled("every time i rise i see you falling"), and brian is saying 'let me help you'("can you find me space inside your bleeding heart"), and the person refuses to let brian in... and he says that it's in her reach, the cure is in her reach... but the person keeps on denying that... | |

| it's about loving someone who is in desperate need for help and wanting to be there to help and love this person yet this person is just pushing him away and blames everything for his/her problems or maybe he's just talking to himself, hence the passive/aggressive | |

| I can never accept that how I interpret a song (especially a Placebo song) is how it intended to be interpreted. I see this song as about suicide. Honestly, this song has influenced my thoughts and actions on my suicide. I don't see suicide as a particually bad thing in my case, so, thanks to Brian, you helped me, I needed alot of courage, and you really helped. Maybe next time, ey? | |

| It probably doesn't mean this.. but to me it is about suicide. "It's in your reach" - I know I should kill myself.. and anyway.. I could never do it.. But when I hear him sing that I think the opposite. "Concentrate" - I need to concentrate to do it. "If you deny this Then it's your fault That God's in crisis" - If I don't then God will be in crisis that I am still alive and fucking up my life and my thoughts as well as other peoples, doing no good. Thank you. | |

| wow....thats all i can say. This song is sooo touching. I have no idea how to interpret the song, but i think its about some type of love. either unrequited or he loves someone and they dont think they are worthy of his love or vise versa....all in all this song is soft but awesome! | |
