| For me its about a lover who's been left behind and still holds a candle to her lover, even though its obviously futile ("sing for your lover like blood from a stone"). She thought her love was different (broke the mould) but she found it was just doomed the same. Anyway just my interpretation. ;) | |

| i think this song is about being stuck in a relationship for too long, and no one really has the guts to end it because of the history they have together, so it just self-destructs...it's about trying to break old habits before they become a recurring pattern in your life. placebo are the best band in the whole world. | |
