| There is a much more tragic meaning or inspiration behind this song. Bret Michaels says he wrote it for CC Deville, whom at the time had a girlfriend who ended up getting shot in the head and killed while out one night. The final line emphasizes this I believe, "And this last mile I travel with you" Makes me think of someone who passed on, more than someone who just gotten dumped. | |
