Poison The Well-Ghostchant
Tuning:C,G,C,F,A,D

Okay,I just saw PTW live 3 days ago,and also have been playing along
to the cd heaps,so I'm sure this is 99% correct. It's funny how so
many people have the misconception this cd is in Drop D too. It's all
in Drop C.

Anyway, onto the tab.You can figure out how many times to play each
part.it's not hard. The whole song is played with heavy distortion unless
otherwise indicated.

pulling off,and the same for the 5th fret.either way sounds good,my
friend prefers the bend version though.the same goes for these notes
throughout the riffs like this in the song.)

well i am sorry SliceMyPaperWrists i have begun to really listen and get past the fact that they are not gunna play emo music. but after i listened and read the lyrics closely. the lyrics are as emo as emo gets for fucks sake. the music and vocals are a tad different but it took me like 2 songs to get used to that. The new album great but no the best. good luck w/ everything ptw.

i dont like ptw new stuff. it is more heavy metal then emo. he doesnt use his very talented melodic scream, i really hope this was just a trial and they will be going back to there emo music which everyone liked. second, i think they made the stupidist decission by going to atlantic records. soon they will be heard everywhere and not for there true fans, the band wagon jumpers are gunna have a field day saying how they are awsome poison the well fans when they have heard one song.

drunkenmonkie i agree with you...Opposite of December was the best PTW cd ever released....Not Within Arms Length, To Mandate Heaven...and of course, the unrefutable Slice Paper Wrists and Nerdy....the lyrics are effing incredible...never had i ever read anything like it. all i was trying to say was that Tear From The Red had some great songs on it as well, which most people tend to overlook that, labeling TFTR as a "crap" album, which it is most definitely not. But yes, Opposite of December was most definitely the best one.

guys guys guys some of you are missing the point i fear....let's observe shall we? take (1) band: poison the well, the best goddamn hardcore, emo, screamo, whatever-the-fuck-you-wanna-call-em band around. take (1) writer/lyrical style: jeff moreira, who writes lyrics that can (and have on many occasions!) make a grown man(me) cry. take (1) musical sound...faster drum beats, higher-pitched melodic scream, quick riffs...you get Opposite of December. ok. 3 ingredients, 1 album. for Tear From the Red, ptw realized that it was time to try a different sound...after all, there's only so many chord patterns with every different sound...2 of the ingredients (the most important 2 in my opinion) are still the same! If i recall people bitched and moaned at Tear From the Red because it was "too different" and they had "sold out" by switching to what seemed to be a heavier sound. but some of their best work was on that cd...botchla, parks and what you meant to me (fucking great song)...now, for the 3rd installment of the ptw saga, they have again switched sounds, both to expand musically and simply to keep themselves and the fans from getting bored! if they hadn't changed their sound at all people would be complaining that ptw is getting old! is there no pleasing you people? i guess the bottom line is the new sound is only that...a new SOUND. even if the older sound was better, that doesn't mean that ptw's new stuff is "crap"...who are we to say that music is crap solely because the band that makes it is trying out new sounds? i guess what i'm trying to say is this: READ THE LYRICS...FEEL THE EMOTION....IT'S STILL THE SAME POISON THE WELL!
