Poison The Well - Lazzaro - Tear From The Red (2002)

This is a excellent aggressive song, good for practising rythm.
Tuning is drop C (CDCFAD), so heavier gauge strings will help.
Use a thickish distortion, not scooping too much mids.
The palm-muting at the start is alternate, but at the chuggy bit it is downstroked.

I added a comment to "Karsay Street," but it kinda applies here too. Karsay street, as most of you probably know, is sampled from the movie "Apocolypse Now." The title of this track, Lazzaro, also comes up at another point in the movie, when there are two boats passing each other on the river, and fucking with each other, a person on one boat yells to a person on another boat "Is that you, Lazzaro?" I'm sure its not a coincidence, but I don't know about any deeper connection with TFTR and Apocolypse now. Maybe they just watched the movie and liked Lazzaro as the name for a track. Who knows...

I'm going to have to agree with...um..everyone. Especially PiecesMended. "But now you cant see what you adored in me." THAT is a great line. But yeah..PTW has such great lyrics..gah! I love them.

the thing you remember the most about a person is there smell...even after they are gone (mainly a love), you can always still smell them on everything...your clothes, furniture, bed, etc..

I dont really like tear from the red as much as i LOVED The Opposite of December, but this song is something special. "But now u cant see what you adored in me. kill me again and again so i can relive every moment with you" Good Stuff...
