Portishead - Roads
Tabbed by Andy Simpson:

It's the same structure throughout so just replace the lyrics for each verse
respectivly. There's only one change in the song which is the verse where the
strings come in (approx. 2:30) with the last chord, an Am, being replaced by
an E7.

Am G6
Ooo
Fmaj7 E7
Can't anybody see?
Am G6
You've got to walk to find me
Fmaj7 E7 F
Never found our way, regardless of what they say
G Am F
How can it feel this wrong? From this moment
G Am
How can if feel this wrong?

Am x02210
G6 x22010/322000
Fmaj7 x03210
E7 022130/020100
G 320033
F x03211

Enjoy... Radiohead rule by the way :)

i really think is about how difficult is find one person to share the life with. How alone we are. Everybody. Alone because we are always fighting in our relationships, always protecting ourselves against nothing. Everyday, many times a day, wiht our partner. She's alone because of this, and she's really tired and missing a different and unachievable way of live. (I'm spanish, sorry for my english)

Those who ever felt like that in life know exactly what it is about. The lyrics speak it out. This song is so amazing.

It was really interesting. We actually used this song in a devised drama piece when I was at school. The piece compared the lives of two young girls both struggling with different situations in their lives. One young girl in the vietnamese war, being compelled to leave and fight. The other young girl trying to look after her younger sister after her father left the family desolate, both girls feel alone, helpless, abandoned, and had their individual wars to fight (literal and metaphorical). Also can personally relate to this song, the feeling you get when you are just so down and don't think anyone else can possibly understand. That you also don't understand why you feel so bad "in this moment, how can it feel so wrong?". A desperate cry. This is such a beautiful song, in every aspect, and will always mean alot to me.

well said, wizard. this song is amazing. the bass is very well done... it really gives the feeling that you are driving down the road and getting that 'woosh' feeling as you pass signs, cars, etc. i think that the lyrics indicate a loss of both spirituality and self (which in some way are the same, i think). people are told that they aren't good enough or don't fit in or are wrong for the way they are born... these things make us conflicted and don't solve anything. this song really represents that disconnected, confused feeling of the everyman (everywoman?) in western society.
