Here's an initial tab for Sunsets as played by Bernie acoustically on the DVD.
The tunning may not be 100% correct, but it sounds pretty close.
Darren plays the other part on a 12-string acoustic in standard tuning.

Verse 1:
Sunsets over the beaches from now on
Each day looking for new ways to go on
Chorus 1:
Maybe I should drop by maybe I should have called
Maybe I should have followed you and beat down your door
Maybe it's gonna be breaking you every time you fall
But to shower you with pity will do you no good at all, no good at all
Verse 2:
Slow burn watching the world turn from my arms
New way of measuring each day until it's gone
Chorus 2:
Maybe I should drop by maybe I should have called
Maybe I should have followed you and beat down your door
Maybe it's gonna be breaking you every time you fall
But to shower you with pity will do you no good at all, no good at all
Verse 3:
Sunrise building a reprise in my heart
Regret tight around my chest plays its part - until it's gone 'till it's gone...
Solo: (play chorus)
But to shower you with pity will do you no good at all, no good at all
Outro:
Watching the sunset, sunset, sunset, sunset
Over the beaches, beaches, beaches, beaches
Watching the sunset, sunset, sunset, sunset
Over the beaches, beaches, beaches, beaches
Watching the sunset, sunset, sunset, sunset
Over the beaches, beaches, beaches, beaches
Watching the sunset, sunset, sunset, sunset
Over the beaches, beaches, beaches, beaches

St. Jimmy Wanna Be |

| I *love* this song. This is the only song a canNOT get sick of at all. I have it on repeat all the time. The acoustic version is beautiful. To me, this song is about losing someone. It could be to death, or in a relationship. "Now we're watching the sunset, sunset, sunset over the beaches" ^ Sunset = end of a day. So it's like closing a chapter of your life. To me, anyway :) | |

| I think this song is about someone lamenting about another person. He regrets not doing enough for his friend/significant other, and that the person he cares about has made a lot of mistakes. But he resolves not to pity them or to make them feel better, because it's their fault in the end, and although he regrets the decision they made, he won't do anything about it. He watches the sunset on the beaches. That's just my opinion. Great song. | |
