| p.s. bernard is the nicest guy you'll ever meet, so friendly and obliging, took pictures and signed everything for me after i waited to meet him after the powderfinger and silverchair concert! when you really listen to vulture street and the lyrics, its actually really sad...makes me want to hug him haha. | |

| i think its definately about his brother because i read somewhere that bernard was having to travel with powderfinger alot while his brother was sick and didnt get to spend much time with him, hence the lyrics "Maybe I should drop by maybe I should have called Maybe I should have followed you and beat down your door" also alot of the songs on vulture street were about bernard and his life, and dealing with his brothers death. | |

| This Is What It Means To Me... Slow burn watching the world turn from my arms: They Were Going Out, He Broke Up With Her, And She Didnt Take It That Well. Now He Must Watch The World By Himself, && Not In HER Arms. Maybe I should drop by maybe I should have called: Now Hes Thinking He Maybe Should Of Handled It Better. Like Tried To Be There For Her Still && Help Her Move On. But Then He Realises That To Shower Her With Pity Will Just Make It Worse. Maybe it's gonna be breaking you every time you fall: He Thinks That If He Cannot Get Over This, How Is She Ever Ganna Move On In Life. Regret tight around my chest plays its part: He Does Reconize That Maybe He Shouldnt Of Done It Or Whatever, && He Does Regret It. Now we're watching the sunset Over the beaches: Even Though He May Regret It, He Is Still Moving On With His Life && Thinks She Should Do the Same. Hes Looking At The Better Things Of Life. | |

| To me the line "But to shower you with pity will do you no good at all - no good at all" is a pretty good indication it's about his brother.. | |

| I love this song. It also causes me to nearly be brought to tears every time. I guess it is a song of hope as well, because after losing someone, life still does go on. Sunsets still happen. Maybe seeing life in a different view as well, "New way of measuring each day ". | |
