| I agree with everyone else that he is saying there are forces holding you back from what you might really want to be; however, I don't know of anything you would want to be that you can't be, within reason. Obviously, if you want to be a thief or a murderer, external entities are going to try to stop you. Most people far seem to be implying something along the lines of anarchy in order to be completely free, which is what the song seems to be saying. If you take away parental control and influence, reasonable government positions, and modern societal structures, you are left with being essentially completely free, but nothing else would function and quality of life would plummet. SlipMudSwitchLogic said: "society is so uniformed that ppl cant have that chance to be free, to chase their purpose and live their own lives. you sacfiice your life to live like other people, If you become what you want to be, you are threateend. More like clones spawned on one purpose. born-play-get a job-marry-and the best part DIE" IMO that might be what the song is about, and if it is, it makes no sense. You are already "free" to be and do more or less what you want. I don't understand what else your "purpose" could be. Take away the "uniformity" that makes our modern lives and society pur and you won't have to worry about being free anymore when you are spending all of your time getting your own food and watching your back for the other free people that chose to stay alive by taking from you. So, if that is indeed what the song is implying, it is poorly thought out and makes no sense. But it still sounds good. | |

| I agree. There is no where in this world where you can be what you want to be. I wish people could just mind there own business. I can't be who I want to be at all. Parents restrict you, the government restricts you, peers pressure you, it's ridiculous. People shove there beleives down your throat and it's impossible to grasp something for yourself because you have everyone influencing you. And the government is brainwashing us all, it's depressing. | |

| WHOAAA!!! this song rocks.. I thought it sucked at first .. but what the hell...it motherfing rocks!!!!.. I agreee with Flaming munk, society is so uniformed that ppl cant have that chance to be free, to chase their purpose and live their own lives. you sacfiice your life to live like other people, If you become what you want to be, you are threateend. More like clones spawned on one purpose. born-play-get a job-marry-and the best part DIE... thats what people think being free is all about ..and thats the tragedy about it. Because if you try to change the norm, you are not as free as you think .. | |
