| Nothing beats the live extended version from the Hits 2 collection. The five minute solo/jam at the end is a thing of beauty. It seems like most people are on spot with the meaning. But that last verse is odd. About needing a leader and whatnot. | |

| Well purple is considered a color of love. I think that he means that he wants the girl to be under his love all of the time, and he says that "I don't want to be your weekend lover" which tells that he wants to be with her all of the time, and it also shows that they broke up apart. So, I think that he is saying that he loves her, and he is trying to teach her something about him. I never liked pop until I heard this song. | |
