| Hard to believe no one's commented on this excellent song! Well in any case, here's my take on it. The person narrating the song is in a relationship with someone who says there's "nothing" to their love anymore and feels that it's "wrong" in some way. The narrator definitely doesn't feel that way - he's drawn into the mystique of his lover, spinning in "this world you made for me" whenever they're together. There may also be an element of S&M/vampirism in this song in the line "Now as the blood drips from your arm to me..." Perhaps the narrator is obsessed with this activity, but it's scaring his lover. He's loving it so much and he's desperate for her to "feel this", the same way that he does. But then he realizes she doesn't love him anymore and "it starts to feel so cold" and he doesn't know what he needs anymore. In a nutshell, I think this is all about fantasy. Imagining (hence the 'dream again') what your relationship should be, falling away from reality. | |

| i think its not about love, but maybe the narrator singing to someone who is committing suicide? 'how can you say theres nothing' sounds like the person is telling the narrator about how their life is nothing. 'Now as the blood drips from your arm to me it starts to take me from this place' maybe this is after the person takes their life, their blood falls on the narrator... i could be totally wrong, just throwing this out to see what u guys think. | |
