| I think this song is about an inner demon possibly...or maybe a scarful event in a childhood that can not be forgotten like an abusive father or maybe a loss of a family member...but i think it deffenitaly is talking about something stuck in his head from the past | |

| Ok, let me clear a lot of things up that therymz got wrong. I'm from Kansas City and have known about this band since 1995. This song was written with the original members of Puddle of Mudd before Fred durst even discovered them. So it can't be about Wes missing his friends. If you look on the CD insert, the song was written by Wes and then guitarist Jimmy. Jimmy also wrote "she hates me" as well. Also, Fred Durst never came to one of their shows. Wes sneaked back stage at a Korn\Limp Bizkit show when it was here in KC and gave his Demo to Fred Durst. Wes later got a call to fly out to LA and audition for Durst. Durst said he would sign Wes but not the rest of the band. Fred Durst got 3 new members, had them keep the band name, and told them to claim Jacksonville (shitty if you ask me). Honestly, I don't think this song has a meaning. Wes has always tried to sound like Alice in Chains, and I think this song is just a "let's write a song that sounds like alice in chains" song. He was known for his constant covers of AIC when they were just a local KC band. Conclusion: The song has no meaning. Just a bunch of lyrics thrown together to sound cool. Sorry if that ruined it for anybody. | |

| I think Rofello reads way too much into these lyrics. They don't mean a whole lot. The song is amazingly catchy. Let's leave it at that. Great hooks. Great chorus. I must have listened to this song a thousand times, and it's just as good now as the first time I listened to it... | |
