| OKay, i'm not sayin' anyones wrong heres my take... It's sort of denouncing , or questioning religion. "Forgotten thoughts of yesterday" - saying religion is a thing of the past which has been forgotten "through my eyes I see the past" - he can see how the changes in society have completely made religion get lost "Well I don't know I don't know I don't know why I Believe I Believe I Believe in the truth" - he still believes that religion is truth, but doesn't know why, and it's hard to accept that he's the minority "go away go away go away from me leave me alone" - he's trying to denounce his religion, he believes it, but is trying to see the other side of things. "ignorance spreads lies " - this is a HARD hitting line. He's saying that the ignorance of society is spreading lies such as evolution, etc. "how much will money bye " - this is the CORRECT spelling for bye he's using a play on words (i've seen this spelled as bye on 2 other sites) he's saying How much money will it take to wave off this religion? "Well I'll take my time as I drift and die " - he's going to dwell on this till he dies. "Unwanted live my life a shame " - this refers to the chorus (drift and die) he doesn't want that to be all he does to drift and die, he wants to spread the word and change society "Who's to blame for my mistakes " - it's not his place to change society for "their" mistakes either, so he's saying it's not his place to change their minds [Chorus] as I drift and die [x2] ignorance spreads lies how much will money bye Well I'll take my time As I drift and die [x5] | |
