For you to give yourself to him, Jesus

A Db D
Oh yeah, I wanna see you

Dm A

I have been the girl in the song. It's about being slightly too drunk to make a rational decision, and then realising rather too late that you really don't want to go through with this. Standing semi - conscious in his room thinking of how the **** you're going to get out of this one, cause you're really not ready, but being too drunk to do anything rational and sitting down on the bed in a blind panic.

I'de say this song is about the fickle indecisiveness of females and yet how guys really have no choice but to be attracted to them. Damned hormones.

Itīs about a girl who suddnely gets really scared about what she knows she is supposed to do (get naked). The narrator of this story is not the guy who is about to "be" with the girl, he is in a semigod position, but he also expresses his opinion, though by some reason he knows the girl is far out of his reach.

This song, to me, seems to be about a girl who got drunk and picked up a guy and slept with him. She then wakes up in the morning and thinks 'What the Hell have I done?' and knows he'll probably want to have sex again, but is finding it hard to touch him even. The speaker in the song is mocking her and saying he'd love to see her in this mess.

One of my fave trakcs from Different Class. The part about giving his own life to see her throws one off a bit, but it seems most comments kind of paint these lyrics appropriately.

About a girl who enjoys the act of getting off with a bloke one night and likes the idea of going home with him afterwards. But, once they're away from the club or whatever, and she's standing in that bedroom with him, knowing what's expected, it suddenly doesn't seem like such a tempting prospect. The task has been achieved, she's being offered what she was after, but now she's thinking "actually, now it's come down to it, I can't really be bothered."

I dont think the emphisis is so much on the girl as himself. He cannot understand why she would waste her time with some looser when he has so much desire for her. Lots of teenage longing in this song, I wonder if Jarvis is writing about the same girl as in Babies.

i think its about a girl, who has told her male friend about a siuation she was in with a man she only just met - how she was really attracted to him 'last night' but couldnt bring herself to look at him in the morning.. her friend is deeply inlove with her, and want to look afterher, but feels she will never see him in that way. he thinks this is how she will learn? he says how 'i couldnt stop it now' maybe itas about a guy who has finaly slep with someone he wanted - but knows that she regrets it in the morning. but he doesnt care cos he'd do anything to see her
