this sums up a time in my life, my girlfriend went to a uni far away from me ''i get on the train and I just stand about now that i don't think of you. i keep falling over i keep passing out when i see a face like you. what am i coming to?'' makes me think of when i would go down to she her for a weekend and i knew it was not going to work with such distance! ''its 58hrs since that i last slept with you.'' - (*sigh*)

The song reminds me of a friend of mine.I never understood the nature of our relationship and why sometimes i feel she's my best friend and other times i wonder why she's so distant from me!!!

The line "troubled words of a trouble mind" is probably a reference to the Nick Drake song "Time Has Told Me," which begins "Time has told me you're a rare find, a troubled cure for a troubled mind."

I think the 'black star' might be something that is definitely there, but they can't see. Maybe a bad compatibility, or something. Obviously you can't see a black star. So he's saying 'blame it on the black star', like...blame it on this, our problem...just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it's not there.

This song is clearly about a failing relationship. I think that when he says he going to blame in the blackstar, he's refusing to blame himslef or take responsibilty for his problems. The last verse seems to talk about after his girlfriend/wife has left him. "i get on the train and I just stand about now that i don't think of you. " He's constantly telling himself that he's over her. "i keep falling over i keep passing out when i see a face like you." The truth is that he actually really misses her and once again he's blaming all his problems on the "black star"

To all Radiohead fans, Next time you listen to that song, please notice how the lyrics ''i keep falling over i keep passing out when i see a face like you'' are so full of emotion, that when they are heard and noticed, Thoms voice makes everything else fade away... I mean I LOVE Radiohead but this The Bends cd is the one I like the least, but I still listen to this song only for when he sings those two sentences. I consider them to be like a ....a small orgasm!! LOL Thats what music does to me.

"blame it on the satellite".....i think that no matter what happens, some how his life keeps revolving around "her", and he is a satellite in a way, unable to escape her "attraction", despite his wishes to leave...the gravity/force is much too strong for him to ever be able to pull away.... ((as stars die, they collapse under their own gravity))

black star is also another way of saying lsd, on the street. especially when it comes in temporary tattoos that are actual black stars. don't know what that adds. it is only one of three things he blames it on---change, apocalypse (falling sky) and love or gravity (satellite beaming home). otherwise yeah. relationship story.
