She looks like the real thing

If I just turn and run
And it wears me out
it wears me out
It wears me out
It wears me out Amaj7

This is the solo from the third verse. It's pretty quiet on the album but you can make it
out OK.
(each dash is a semiquaver (or 16th whatever you call it))

Sorry for the typing mess up in the solo but you can't fit a double figure number into one
character!
So to clear it up: - There are 5 8th-note 11s in the fifth measure/bar.
- And the notes in the eighth measure are all 8th-notes
This is one of the greatest songs by the greatest bands ever. And rest assured:
THIS TAB IS 100% ACCURATE (this statement is not legally binding)
Obviously if you're playing the rhythm (Thom's) part to this song you'll just have to
out the picking for your damn self cause I couldn't be hassled with it but the chords are
to the song.
This tab is better than the others on this page.
So happy... tabbing.(?)

| This song is utterly and unbelieveably sad and depressing, yet i cant stop listening to it. The last verse, the last line alone should bring a tear to the eye of anyone with a soul. | |

| I'm really blown away by your interpretations. before I logged on here I was imagening his love being fake as the world. and him seing true beauty in her which he didn't feel like deserving. | |

| ok. im going with the doll theory. anything about a blow up doll brightens my day. and when my day is brightened, the whole world is too. (sarcasm) | |

| This makes me cry! It's about a girl who's completely fake cause she's having to be someone she's not: "If I could be who you wanted all the time..." Awww :( She can't be herself because she feels the world won't accept her that way, so really she has no idnetity. :( | |

| i think Thom is analytically describing relationships under false circumstances, ending with the relationship he would currently be in. in the last verse he describes his "fake plastic love". then adds "If i could be who you wanted all the time.." it seems to me he cannot meet her expectations, and in trying to meet them he has essentially sacrificed his sense of self. enough is enough. hopefully, the sex was good, tho! | |
