This song reminds me of Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. Both the book and the song give the same feeling of being numb, drowned in conformist fake happiness.

operative11, haha yeah I can sorta see that...I went to Paly too, a few years ago now. I loved Palo Alto, but I was younger then, and the high culture stuff probably didn't bother me as much as it might now...what year were you at high school?
