This might be a stretch....so bear with me. I was watching "Carlito's Way", when I realized the similarity in the lyrics and the movie. One scene in particular, that is. Towards the end of the movie, Al Pacino comes back to Penelope Ann Miller. He wants to tell her that he is done with his violent past. She cracks open the door, secured by the chain. She tells him that he will have to break the door down to get in, however, he is tired and older now. He walkes away, but runs back, breaking through the door. Mad, passionate love ensues. My transcript may not do the scene justice, however, If you have seen the movie, I would love to know if anybody else made the connection.

yes, this is a very special song, the drums the drums! and the lyrics, so very perplexing. i used this on the soundtrack of a short film i made, it traced through the journey of my main character. in the beginning i had "I want to be someone else or ill explode" at his lowest point, then various happennings until "I'm ready". i don't really understand the part about guns and sandwiches, the first time i heard these two words one after another it made me laugh, because here we have such a beautiful song, and here the lyrics are so randomly thrown together. it adds to the quirkiness of it, and i really like it that i don't completely ubderstand it.
