When things start feeling crazy and when you're being trampled over in life while all the other person has to offer is useless advice.

The live version of this song is my favorite from Radiohead. it's just the emotion and power that exudes from Yorke's lyrics and singing...Amazing.

check out the completely backwards version of this if you can find it - it's beautifully creepy

I like that last idea from IndieRockLance. I never thought about it like that before but if you take that interpretation then you can see where the 'You throw me to the lions' line comes from as wasn't it the romans who used to put Christians in an arena with lions for entertainment.

I reversed this song myself, after I ripped it to mp3. It sounds weird... but nice. Kinda like you're in a cave or something...

Thom is not singing backwards. He listened to the vocals in reverse, and learned them that way. Notice that some of the words don't actually sound backwards. (To me, it sounds like Thom is talking about politicians, and back-room politics that are kept from the public.

I used a program that I downloaded called Yamp to decode my file into a .wav from a .mp3. Then I used the reverse effect in Windows Sound Recorder. This song is my favorate Radiohead song.
