| I like that last idea from IndieRockLance. I never thought about it like that before but if you take that interpretation then you can see where the 'You throw me to the lions' line comes from as wasn't it the romans who used to put Christians in an arena with lions for entertainment. | |

| Thom is not singing backwards. He listened to the vocals in reverse, and learned them that way. Notice that some of the words don't actually sound backwards. (To me, it sounds like Thom is talking about politicians, and back-room politics that are kept from the public. | |
