| The gretaest thing about this song is that although the lyrics are simple, they are incredibly affective. I often feel that people on this service analyse the lyrics too much, but with this song the meaning is very obvious. Thom Yorke never trys to hide his emotions in his songs and i think his repetition of the phrase, "it's getting better" shows that it's not getting better at all, and that in fact, he loves her so much, he cant live without her. Listen to this song after you break up from a relationship and the sheer simplicity, overwhelming heartache (in both the lyrics and the guitar) and the immense beauty will move you to tears. | |

| it does sound pretty much like a denial song. I agree with Vince with the fact that it's not getting better at all. It's obviously shown in the last line, "I got something I don't know" | |

| The first section of the song is about fooling yourself into thinking that you're okay after a breakup, which is quikly followed by the second, which is about realising that it's not all fine, and realising what you've lost. Musically, it's probably one of the best tracks that not only Radiohead have produced, but one of the best ever... It's excellant, and the fact that Creep has over 300 comments, and this just 11 is a real shame. It's just people who've downloaded it after hearing it on the radio. Creep's not a particularly great song, wheras this is simply brilliant. A real gem. | |

| ok weve established that it is about a break up. but in this instance he is trying to reassure himself that hes got better and is stronger having come through it. when really he knows he isnt at all better and is weaker than he has ever been. this song is gorgeous and sad and beautiful. just great | |

| I really really really really love this song, and everything off Pablo Honey and from those days, it's all so inspired. This song is about a guy who has gotten over a girl, but isn't particularly sure if he really has, and is on anti-depressants (I don't know). It's a really lovely melody, but with such dark lyrics. It really goes along to my situation at the moment. A lot of Radiohead does, and all of Pablo Honey I really understand, I have felt 'better off dead' and like a creep, and I keep thinking I'm over this girl then I realize I'm so not, and want to her say she loves me again, and Thinking About You makes a lot of sense to me. | |

| Definitely I longing in Thom's voice. Why haven't more people heard this song or posted on it. Go to the 'Paranoid Android' page and there's over 80 posts belonging to fucking Creed. It's a travesty. Anyway on to the song. Like I said there is most definitely a longing sumbersed throughout the track. Like after any relationship ends, you're at war with yourself. You feel like absolute shit and your brain trys to tell you that that you're better now, if not stronger than before... But listen to the last line in the song: "I got something/I got something I don't know". He's confused. Is the breakup for the best or is he lying to himself to make up for the pain he now feels. I don't know. That's just my take. ADD SOME POSTS TO A BEAUTIFUL SONG PEOPLE!!! | |

| Well no need to speculate anymore. Just listen to the live show from Boston, MA on 4/13/96 and Thom says this right before the song "Here's a song that we wrote at the time and it was about feeling better having lost the person that was fucking you up." | |

| He's over her. But then the last four verses reveal that really he's only trying to kid himself and deep down he wants to hear that she loves him (tell me something). And I got something. Means he still has feelings for her... | |

| Oh, wow, initially I thought this was more of an optimistic song. No wonder it was screwing with my emotions. Every time I hear this song, my heart aches and I'm ready to burst into tears. You're right, it's not getting any better for him and you can feel so much from this song. | |

| Forever I thought the same thing you all did. Really though it's about shaking a nasty illness. Could be love, who knows? Look up the definition of a 'Lurgee'. Regardless it's still a kick ass track and I'm shocked and almost offended that there were only 6 posts on this song. BTW I heard this live and it ROCKED! | |
