The song is basically very simple !! It isn't really too much
fun to play as there isn't much action going on, but here
goes...
After much e-mailing around the world I've finally settled on the
guitar over the verses. It's used with a harmonizer.
Play the natural harmonics at the 5th fret at shown over the
lyric "this time the bullet cold rocked ya"
The last time hold the harmonics and lower the pitch using the
tremelo arm.

Guitar stops - some weird tones (noises) produced

| "A yellow ribbon, instead of a swastika" A yellow ribbon is used, in the United States, to signify support for its troops in foreign wars. A yellow ribbon was most recently used to show support of US troops in the Gulf War, the focus of the song. A swastika is the symbol of the Nazi Party, now illegal, in Germany, and of Nazism in general. this is talking about the fighting in the wars being no better than the nazis but for some reason it is celebrated in america. | |

| I don't thinks atthedrive-in will read this but here goes...when I was looking for a concert review (can't find the address again) of RATM I found one of a happy Wu Tang Clan fan...happy because he got his Wu t-shirts much cheaper...cause it was a RATM concert and anything was cheap...remember this...RATM were not sellouts;they didn't make music to get rich...and if they got rich they deserve it! no doubt about that | |

| I agree with most of your interpretations. I would just like to add that "Bullet in the Head" is a statement from Orwell's 1984, in which the protagonist, who is at first independently minded in the end because a faithful follower of his government's propaganda. In the book, Orwell describes this as recieving a bullet in your head. | |
