| Not just greed: it's about corporatist globalization. "The End of History" is a book by Francis Fukuyama, basically saying that "free-market capitalism" is inevitable, resistance is futile (if not evil for interfering with the course of history), and the best way to go would be to just embrace it. To just swallow the poison pill, as it were. | |

| I'm going with a metaphor for the capitalistic and imperialistic nature of America. I guess that pretty much encompasses greed. And as far as the last verse goes, I think Zach's pretty much saying that we're going to have to accept our destructive ways since it's going to inevitable ruin us. (For its the end of history. Its caged and frozen still. There is no other pill to take. So swallow the one that made you ill.) | |
