| This song is about Mumia Abu-Jamal, a journalist, former Black Panther member and activist who has been on death row since 1982 for the alleged murder of a Philadelphia cop Daniel Faulkner. The trial was a joke, and in spite of eyewitnesses attesting a 3rd part who shot faulkner, abu-jamal was convicted and has been fighting for justice ever since, by releasing writings in journals, and in his book, Live from Death Row. Many have organized and rallied for his cause, but til today, their pleas have fallen on deaf ears. | |

| I would just like to point out to those people who think Mumia did it, and that's fair enough I doubt we'll ever know the truth, that another man has already confessed to the murder of Daniel Faulkner. 2 Key witnesses, Robert Chobert and Cynthia White, admitted after the court case to police intimidation. I ask you if Mumia was guilty why go to all this trouble to frame him? | |

| what does 'at fifteen exposed phillys finest killing machine' refer to? was mumias brother fifteen? oh and if you read nineteeneightyfour, you'll find that the most accurate part is that the proles are not only the people who have the most potential for power, they are also the least capable of realising that potential. i've spent my entire life with the working classes and i've never once met a person with any kind of inclination whatsoever as to what the big picture is. they're all quite happy to fester in the holes they've been put in. it's part of the human condition to only care about yourself, which is why marxism can never work. although i love rage, i know in my heart that nothing will ever change | |

| Mattius82: First, in this nation we are innocent until proven guilty. There is no witness to prove that he did shoot the cop except the cop himself, who is dead. Second, why would Mumia put the incorrect bullets into his gun. The incedent was random. Mumia didn't plan to shoot the cop so, therefore, he couldn't use incorrect bullets to throw of the investigation. Also i have never heard of a gun that can fire different bullets other than the ones designed specifically for that firearm. I'm no balsitics expert so i could be wrong. There is no proof to verify that Mumia shot the cop. He's innocent. And lastly RATM is not confused or ignorant. Most of all politics in this world are matters of opinion. Don't lash out RATM because you don't agree with or understand them. Their politics are not inacurate. True, they only convey their side of the story, but every great debator or scholar does the same. RATM believes in the lyrics they sing, which is more than anyone can say for most of the other bands in the world. They are one of the few bands that "practices what they preach." In the future apply more thought to your responses before you judge someone or something. | |

| "People who hide something are usually guilty" So why aren't there witnesses to crimes people must have seen, it's because of intimidation. And seeing as the Police force are more than capable of destroying a person, I must say intimidation would be incredibly easy if say, somebody lets call them Mumia Abu-Jamal was speaking against and exposing Police brutality and say you were one of those brutal cops, better to have him out of the way. Consider a confession of killing the cop by that hitman. Very real that is. Also consider someone of Mumia's high intellect which is clear from what he's written and how he has. That they would not kill someone for doing that and if they wished to would not commit the crime without an alibi. So there falls apart the crime, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, no more. The US Government stinks of corruption no real democracy, entire legal system intermingled with members of the mafia. Not a system to believe what they tell you without doing research I would suggest. Look at all sources before deciding he is guilty rather than the news reports. | |

| "by Mattius82 on 04-05-2003 @ 09:49:10 PM Mumia Abu Jamal is a killer. The only three people who saw the murder were Jamal himself, his brother, and the murdered Philadelphia police First of all, those two sentences together make no sense!! You attest that Mumia is guilty yet you recognize the fact that the only people there were Mumia, his brother, and police officers, none of which includes you! You also sound ridiculous when you talk about RATM's "beats". What kind of idiot would listen to music that is highly political (leftist) if they completely disagree with it. I don't care how good a song sounds, I'm not going to support music that glorifies things such as war, capital punishment, or George Bush, when it goes against what I stand for, get some morals! | |
