Its about drugs.... (Ggerman teacher told me, who is a big rammstein fan!) The sun is shining out of my hands it can burn, it can blind you when it breaks out of the fists it lays down hotly on your face it lays down painfully on your chest balance is lost it lets you go hard to the floor and the world counts loudly to ten Kinda explains

Rammstein rocks! did you know that even Metallica doesn't know how Rammstein creates that heavy guitar sound.

If you translate the lyrics you will see that its about a girl, that he wants but he cant get. he refers to her as the sun, or the star, 'and she will never fall down from the sky', meaning he will never have her

In the Lichtspeilhaus DVD, it shows a behind the scenes look at the making of the video for this song. While it does have drug influences in it (where Snow White not only snorts the grounded gold the dwarves mine for her like cocaine, but also overdoses on it and dies while bathing), some of the band say that the song was originally written for a boxer. Till describes that his ideal video interpretation was to show a boxer walking slowly out of the hall in his robe, facing the crowd and the lights, while the line "Hier kommt die Sonne" plays - the boxer is the sun, the winner, the wanted.

This is a really good song, and I hate the translated versions of their songs, the german versions are ALWAYS better.

also, think about drugs to this, in that video when snow white snorts the gold, drugs is a perfect example of desires that u cant fulfill. by the way this is a beautiful song, like other Rammstein songs, it keeps u thinking.

^^ actually that sounds like it could be about the Hiroshima bomb. Anyway, anyone heard the Hitler song based on this music? I guess it's not by Rammstein, because Rammstein arn't Nazis, but some German speaking band plays this instead of counting at the beginning, he starts naming German figures...Himmler, Goebbles etc..there are lots of Heil Hitlers and I think it sounds better just because it's creepy as hell. Plus the chorus is more powerful.

this song is great, if u play it in the dark its real creepy which is ironic cause its a song about the sun shining all night, like everythings gonna be ok.

One of the BEST songs EVER. Ramms+ein really kix ass, or in German: Ramms+ein ist geil ;). But the lyrics do not carry much meaning in them, which is normal with R+ (yes I do know German). Great song anyway. Possibly Rammstein's best song (competing with Sehnsucht, Buck Dich, Ich Will and Amerika)
