Yeah, see Freaks if you haven't. It was consored when it came out because of the portrayal of circus freaks. Real "freaks" were used in the film, setting it apart from other movies of it's kind. The chant occurs in the middle when the freaks throw a fancy dinner to celebrate the engagement of a "normal" woman and a midget. The chant is performed by the freaks to welcome the woman into the group but she gets scared and angry. The end of the movie is also well known and often parodied, where the freaks are crawling through the mud to kill someone. It was censored because it portrays freaks in a negative way and was met with a lot of criticism. We watched it in my Contemporary LIterature class and it is fascinating to think about. Oh, also in the film there are several "pinheads", hence the title of the song.

this song is about being accepted by people even though you are different and it is based on a chant from the 1932 horror movie - creeps.

Yes, the movie freaks was the basis for the song, in the end of the movie there's a chant of "gooble gobble gooble gobble, one of us" scary. as. hell. anyway, this song is about not wanting to be accepted, about being misunderstood, not stupid.
