Band - The Rasmus
Song - Still Standing
Tabber - Crow Bird Lintu Anna!!
Another great song from The Rasmus. One of the best songs on Dead letters.
Dm Bb C Bb
I wish you here tonight with me to see the northern lights
Dm Bb C
I wish you were here tonight with me
Dm Bb C Bb
I wish I could have you by my side tonight when the sky is burning
Dm Bb C
I wish I could have you by my side
Bb C
cause I've been down and I've been crawling
Bb Dm
won't back down no more
Dm Bb C
can't you stop the lies, falling from the skies
Bb Dm Bb C
down on me, I'm still standing
Dm Bb C
can't you roll the dice, I might be surprised
Bb Dm Bb C Dm
consciense clear, I'm still standing here
-------------------------------------------------------------
burns like a thousand stars, though you are light years away
burns like a thousand stars or more
you're up there, you're always with me
smiling down on me
can't you stop the lies, falling from the skies
down on me, I'm still standing
can't you roll the dice, I might be surprised
consciense clear, I'm still standing here
It's something sacred, something so beautiful
something quiet to ease my mind
when the pressure's taking me over and over
cause I've been down and I've been crawling
pushed around and always falling
you're up there, you're always with me
smiling down on me
can't you stop the lies, falling from the skies
down on me, I'm still standing
can't you roll the dice, I might be surprised
consciense clear, I'm still standing here
can't you stop the lies, falling from the skies
down on me, I'm still standing here
can't you roll the dice, I might be surprised
consciense clear, I'm still standing here

| No, i saw on a video, that he said 'this song is about Finland' and then they played 'Days'. cHeMiCaL BuTTeRfLy> i thought Lauri doesnt bilieve in God. >.> I dont know, my opinion is that Lauri is singing about a person, who maybe died, or just isnt around anymore. Anyways, i'ts one of my all time favorite songs. | |

| I think that the singer in the song is still very confused as to what he believes is going to happen after death, and so he is asking his friend who he would normally turn to for advice, but who is now dead not to forget him and to help him sift through all of the different religious and scientific answers out there to find the truth -- "Can't you stop the lies falling from the skies" -- but I dont understand the part about his conscience being clear. | |

| I actually read it is exactly like that. This song is about a friend of Lauri (the singer) who has died of drugs... I read that in a comment of this song by himself. | |

| Come on? Anybody else wants to comment about this song? We already know this song is about a friend of Lauries who died. But what the heck does he mean by "cant you stop the lies coming from the skies"? I certainly dont know. | |

| no one commented on this song yet? well, then... it's mine!! right... well.. my opinion on this song... it seems to me the singer is talking to someone who was close to him who might have died.... ("You're up there, you're always with me, smiling down on me")... and misses that person... how very technical and deep... this song is awesome though... definetly one of my faves off the "dead letters" album... | |

| well...I don't usually trust in magazines or online interviews(only videos where I can see them and stuff saying whatever they're saying)...and today I was listening to the song, and I think it could be another thing: He's talking to God, he's telling him something like: hey where are you?? I'm still here standing and u don't stop lies or whatever...and I'm needing you, and I wish u were here with me... well..that's only what I feel like hearing the lyrics and dunno...but well, if it's true that thing of his friend...ok, I'm wrong^^ but I see it like that...just like that, I try to look for another meaning and there's no answer in my mind(lol) "conscience clear,I'm still standing here"---->hey, let's talk clearly and seriously, I'm still here and I haven't received a sing from You(God)....dunno, I'm religious and I know how a person feels like that in respect to God and if he's helping me or not......thoughts of mine... well...nothing more rock on!!!!!!!!! LOVE YA RASMUS!! (sorry if my english is bad..I'm spanish) | |

| my guess is, "cant you stop the lies coming from the skies" means that since he died from drugs, people r making lies about him and saying stuff and lauri hates hearing it because he loves his friend and he wants the lies to stop | |
