Good point, the fact that he repeats 'not i' its kind of like he's saying 'who needs love ey!' in that sort of self denial sort of way, when he really knows that we all need love, and really he'd quite like it too

the meaning seems quite obvious, but is it not ironic?? if you look at the last verse the whole 'just can't give up without a fight' could suggest that he does

ooh, great song. this just reminds me of the songs in the 50's and 60's, you know with the keyboard in the background. love these guys heaps
