	Good song, and like Joshua Can Funk said, most good songs can be put into different meanings for a more personal view. I find a lot of the Chili peppers stuff to be like that.

	I agree with silsae, I think most of it is written from the perspective of heorine addiction. But like most good songs, it's capable of being more personal than that of what Anthony orriginally ment. Either way, it's a great high emotion song, I think it saved my about a year ago.

	lots of it seems to be reffering to Anthony Kiedis's old drug problems, like "the bloodstain on your shirtsleeve" and "rainbow in your jail cell"

	I think its about (like on_a_plain said) God. Maybe that Anthony felt like the worlds forgotten boy and how God and everybody didn´t care about him...

	i saw an interview of anthony and he said that sometimes he didn't write song that were connected to his personal experience and that don't forget me is one of them, just thought that interesting.
