I know i'm gonna get some flack for putting up chords here, i know the song is
mostly picked, but this i guess could be used to get people playing along to the
cd if they wanted or whatever. Chord positions are at the bottom.

E-12-------12-------12-------12-------|-10-------10-----7-----7-------|-

G----12-------12-------12-------12----|----11-------9------9----12----|-
D-------------------------------------|-------------------------------|-
A-------------------------------------|-------------------------------|-
E-------------------------------------|-------------------------------|-
Repeat twice, or til whenever... this is where my chords start
Verse-
C D Em
I--- got dosed by you
Closer than most to you
What am I supposed to do
Take it away I never had it anyway
Take it away everything will be okay
C D Em
In you a star is born
You cut a perfect form
Someone forever warm
Lay on lay on lay on lay on
Lay on lay on lay on lay on
Chorus 1-
G D Em C
Way up on the mountain where she died
All I ever wanted was your life
Deep inside the canyon I can't hide
All I ever wanted was your life
Verse-
C D Em
Show love with no remorse
Climb onto your seahorse
This ride is right on course
This is the way I wanted it to be with you
This is the way I knew that it would be with you
Lay on lay on lay on lay on
Lay on lay on lay on lay on
Chorus 2-
G D Em C
Way up on the mountain where she died
All I ever wanted was your life
Deep inside the canyon I can't hide
G D Em/G (i think) ------ C2
All I ever wanted was your life
Verse- (it sounds good doing the picked part [from the beginning] here during this verse)
I--- got dosed by you
Closer than most to you
What am I supposed to do
(resume chords if you want, this is when the drums start again and we get
background vocals, Flea resumes the normal bass line)
G D Em
Take it away I never had it anyways
Take it away and everything will be okay
Chorus-
G D Em C
Way up on the mountain where she died
All I ever wanted was your life
Deep inside the canyon I can't hide
G D Em/G (i think) ------ C2
All I ever wanted was your life
Solo - either verse chords or picked part will work here
Last 4 chords of song-
C Em/G Am G
Chords:
C-x32010
D-x00232
Em-022000
G-320003
Em/G-322000
Am-002210
That's it. I think you'll find this one a bit more accurate than the other
chorded version here, however, i'm not sure which exact chord it is where i
have 'Em/G' written. I just put what i thought sounded alright there. If you do
know, please post it in the comments part. Or... let me know what you think...

| Yeah, I think this the best song too. I was surprised no one already submitted the lyrics, so I did :) It's another song about love......... but I still like it a lot. I dunno if some of those things are the right words, tell me if you think different. And also, I got it with WinMX, but I kept getting by the way or looped versions of this song. But do not be discouraged, for I have found the right version of this song. | |

| And I also think that this song is about heroin ( ?? ) the girl in question is his heroin addiction, thats my view on it anyway, Anthony's always gone trekking in bad times, maybe thats the mountain reference, who knows though ??? | |
