i agree it's about war but if you take the verse Easily let’s get carried away Easily let’s get married today apart from other lyrics it may sound like an offer to a girl that he love sso much that he can do crazy things with. or road trippin' with her. justa thought

Yeah, I agree with what was said about it not just being about war. It seems to me about trying to lead a care-free lifestyle, hence the title. The line about getting married just sends a whole love and peace vibe, then the anti-war comments, and the shaolin monks, it all fits together! Love not war!

This is one of my favorite Chili Peppers songs. I agree, it is about how Anthony feels about war. I love the line; " Throw me to the wolves, because there's order in the pack", I think he is talking about how a lot of the soldiers don't really understand what the war is about, they are just looking for an excuse to shoot some "sand-niggers", because they have been conditioned to believe that people of a different skin colour are automatically the enemy and it is this kind of ignorance that the people in charge use to motivate their troops.
