We live in the city
We live in the jungle
It's time to be drinking
A thimble humble
Everything you ever see
Is never more than you and me

| I think the One Big Mob is all the people of the world. "I am you are me" Even though we're different people, we're still both people. "Ooze into into my noodle" Here's what I'm thinking... "East or west shepherd or poodle" Whatever part of the world you're from, whatever race you are "Ladybug pinetree To mingle with the bumblebee A lover to the sun And a brother to the cool breeze" Even totally different people can get along. "One two buckle my shoe Take care of me 'Cause I might be you" You should look out for your fellow man because you might need them to look out for you sometime. I'm guessing broken home is the state of the world that as one big family ( mob ) in one home ( planet ) we don't get along with each other. Share some air... forest full of truths... head getting pregnant. Totally guessing here but didn't Anthony once meet the Dali Lama? Is the Dali Lama the head getting pregnant ( full of wisdom? ) of the value of giving? Is this part about his meeting with the Dali Lama? "What was I thinking in my head The color red Breaking hearts instead of bread Something I said Checkmated by frustration... ...Need to be cut loose A different kind of being lost ...A sullen cost" This part kind of gave my goose bumps when I thought about it. Anthony has always been a peaceful guy, hasn't he? A pacifist not afraid to tell a friend he loves them? This sort of attitude would fit well with the peaceful part of his life but not so well with a lot of his crazy past. Is this verse maybe about his reconciliation of Bhuddist philosophy and his own life? Wanting to be a good person but having to live with the fact that he hurt some people along the way? That's a lot of humility to swallow, I'd be frustrated too. Good on Funky Crime for the translation, it kind of led to what I think the lyrics mean. If Anthony met the Dali Lama in East India that could be the inspiration for this song. This is all just a guess though, I could be comepletely off. | |
