i can't remember her name right off, but this song is about a model/actress in the 40's and 50's who came to california from sweden. she did fine for a few years and was pretty popular, but she got into drugs heavily and eventually died. the references to cobain are probably relating her story to his.

How come David Bowie's song "Station To Station" is mentioned in the song, and what is Alderon? "Cobain can you hear the spheres Singing songs off station to station And Alderon’s not far away It’s Californication" ???

I also think this song is about the decline of western civilazation but I also think its about how california culture has spread thourghout the world and has become the mainstrem culture.
