OK this is my first tab so be nice :-)
Didnt see any other tabs of this song so decided to do my own. Sounds pretty close to me.
I tried my best on the solo. I know its not exact. You just need to improvise in the key of G
Anyway, awesome song, awesome band. John you rule!

this is my favourite song by chilis ever. as for the meaning... it seems to me to be about every individual person on the quest for power, with its ups and downs everyone fails then succeeds and thats the way it is, and the chilis say thats ok and they dont give a shit, so they write a song about it.

To me this song is about how change is necessary in life. They, as musicians, can't stay the same for ever ( We've got to move it / If we want to do our best / We've got to shake it / If we want to keep it fresh). They have to try new things in order to keep creating art and grow as both people and artists. That's why there will never be a second BSSM (like many people would like... not me though... and I love that album).

I like this song a lot. It was interesting here John talking about it. He says that during the verses Flea is playing the same chords over and over, and he is playing different chords, THEN, during the chorus, Flea is playing different chords, and he is playing the same chords over and over. He says he noticed this after they finished the song. I'll have to look at the DVD again tho to put down the meaning.

God I fucking love this song, Frusciante said he was really influenced by hendrix on this album, and you can really hear it on this song. The solo is pure hendrix influence... Everytime I put this song on by then end I'm totally bouncin around rockin out. There's so much feeling put into this song especially by frusciante, I dont see how you can not be moved by it. The lyrics are great too, to mee it's just about the highs and lows we all gotta deal with, you just got keep going "and turn it again"

Sorry to double-post, but I'm just sayin' that Anthony has been clean for several years, so although it could be about some sort of previous experience, i seriously doubt it.
