Did anyone else think that the singer betrays his partner? "I've got the pistols, so I'll keep the pesos." He could be talking to the cashier or whatever, but somehow I always thought he turned on the other person.

though this song is definitely lighthearted and humorous, there is actually a real meaning about trust in there. with the stupid people line, the chorus is basically summing everything up by saying "hey, yeah, we're tricking all these stupid people by stealing money, but hey, i'm gonna rip you off too." to me it's about trust on various levels, not just a humorous song about betraying banditos.

just a great fun arizona rock track, classic band, shame they didn't keep going with it, I love the alias line, in its own right hilarious and true

"Everybody knows that the world is full of stupid people" hehe, not the full message of the song, but that line is classic and the song has a permanent spot on my playlist.

Mmm definitely screwing over his partner... Kind of ironic, like he's saying that the world is full of stupid people, but he's setting up his partner to get caught, ie the obvious fake alias and the "meeting" where i don't think that they will really meet... and the guns and all... great song, btw. love the guys...

This song is great. What kind of idiot would get fooled by a Captain John Luc Picard ID!?

i used to listen to this song all the time, some of the words stuck in my head, it's a pretty fun song, no real "behind the music" type meaning though.

this song is really fun to listen to when you're sneaking out your mom's car in the middle of the night to go pick up your lover girl (or boy)

iluvmybass- I think they set up the proper meeting place. but the way some criminals works, one person will keep the money, the other will keep the guns. I guess that makes it harder for the cops to prove something if they get caught. The partner took the money, the singer took the guns. The alais is to fool the border gaurd, they probably knew each other's real names.
