| I think that this song is a song about God and Jesus. How we can go back and forth but always come back. First paragraph. Sometimes it is embarrassing to talk to God about your mistakes. Only God can see through the masks of our outer selves we try to hide behind. Most people feel disgraceful when they know he knows what we've done. Second Paragraph. God is always there for us no matter what. He sees the good in all of us and forgives us. When we get closer to God, we get more confident in ourselves and everything we do. God and Jesus is really all we do need. Chorus #1. God always looks into our lives. He never stops. He goes through all our thoughts, and sees what we're thinking, our deepest wants, wishes, goals, and desires. He knows the things we want, he always understands us. Next paragraph. Sometimes we want to get away from Him. Usually because we've done something that we think is unforgivable, even though it is forgivable. We never can get away from Him though, he is always there for us, He loves us like a parent, and a lot of people try to find they're place in this world by getting away from their parents. Chorus #2. God understands every aspect of ourselves. He knows us better than even we do. He loves us despite all of our faults. Next paragraph. Sometimes when we think of God, we can't think of words to express our gratitude. We think of good things, and all those good things are already his. At times our faith will dwindle, but we come back (outlined me again.) He patiently and lovingly waits for all of us. Third Chorus. | there is so much musical genious in this song.... i love how relient k can summarize seemingly everything God feels for you in one song, and make it sound friggin gorgeous too..... this is one of my favorite songs on this album. And God wants us to know that, so we will realize how mush we need Him and His grace. We have to understand that nothing we do changes how God looks at us, God will not reject you if you sin, and we cannot say that we have do anything worthy because its already Gods.
