And the first time

That you opened Your eyes

That left Your lips

Did You know that it would change the world forever

The things I've felt in prior years

This baby would one day save me

| The song is the best song on Relient K's Cd "Deck the halls and bruise your hand" I agree with amishman that it is a great reminder of what Christmas is really about. | |

| Gorgeous. You are very right. So powerful and true. It makes me re-think why we do all the things we do around the hollidays. It's more than getting, or even giving; it's what has already been given to us. "And I, I celebrate the day That You were born to die So I could one day Pray for you to save my life Pray for you to save my life Pray for you to save my life " | |

| This is quite possibly the most beautiful (on SO MANY levels) song that Relient K has ever recorded. I would love to hear more stuff like this from the guys in the future. This is probably my favorite song ever! | |

| I don't consider this as only a "Christmas song" mainly because I think we should think about that everyday. We should celebrate that day EVERYDAY. | |

| This song is so great. I'd never considered the connection, you know, that His birth is also about His death. I love how Relient K is able to bring that alive. | |

| Every one should keep in mind (Chist)mas is not just that one day a year, but its every day. I know the meaing of this song is to remind you of the true meaning of Christmas, but that meaning is not just Jesus giving His life, it's why He did that for us. | |

| I think its kind of funny that Christmas is in fact based on a pagan holiday and not the birth of Jesus. Our traditions are so messed up. | |

| Abso-freaking-lutely gorgeous. When people talk about RK's best Christian lyrics, they rarely mention this, and it surprises me. This is truly great. | |

| KoanTao, the church might have taken aspects from a Pagan holiday's for Christmas so it was easier for the Pagan people to adapt to Christianity, but that doesn't have anything to do with the songmeaning here, it's a great song, about the true meaning of Christmas (or i guess the birth of Christ if u're going to get specific since as you already pointed out, most likely Christ was born in the summer and we just adapted Christmas to a Pagan holiday) | |
