| i don't see how anyone could think this sog is about God "We should get jerseys cause we make a good team But yours would look better than mine Cause your out of my league" God jerseys?hmmmm "And maybe I’m just lucky cause it’s hard to believe Believe that somebody like you, end up with someone like me" i think this part solidifies that it's a human relationship, not a religous one | |

| I don't think it's about God. It's definitely about a girl. Most people don't look at me when I'm praying and look away with disgust. It'd be quite a stretch to say it's about God. | |

| Ditto, I double that motion, this isn't a God song, you could debate, and if by chance you do convince me that it is about God, then I definetly want a "God Jersey" as penguin92 said. p.s. The music video is really good, funny at parts, but then again I think most things are funny. (myspace/relientk) | |

| i love the fact that Relient K songs can swing either way between god / a girl. It reaches out to a large crowd i believe. For me i didnt know Relient K was a christian band , and i heard their song "Be my Escape", i loved it so much, and i checked lyrics and then i listened to their other songs and realized how good they are. I was drawn into them because of their "rock/punk" sound...love it. And not every song has to be about god, or a girl...They're still great! | |

| I just wanted to say something to woyloyboog & LNikky: I'm not trying to start anything, but most musicians (professional or amateur) will tell you that music is meant to relate to EVERYONE. To one person this song may be about a girl, which is certainly a reasonable way to interpret the song. I can also see how someone would see this song as being about God. I actually believe that there is a little of both in the song. If you re-read through the lyrics, I'm pretty sure you will find some things that would suggest it could be about a relationship with God as well. Part of what makes any music so great is the fact that it can be interpreted so many different ways by so many different people. Just because you don't see a song or lyrics meaning something doesn't mean that someone who does is wrong. Read the chorus. I think that if you really focus on that you can see my point. | |

| At 1:01 when it's just the guitar playing without the vocals, they made a HUGE mistake by not lengthening that part or repeating it later in the song because that part is really catchy. | |

| I think it's pretty obvious that it's about a girl. However, I can see someone saying it's about God because Matt doesn't specifically mention a girl in the song. Other than that, really looking forward to the new album! | |

| I agree with Sammysized, that it could be both. But just because it says the thing about the jersey, doesn't mean that it isn't in some way refering to the relationship you have with God. When you have a relationship with God its not just a religous relationship. It a friendship, a parent and child relationship, he's your Friend, your Father, your Teacher, your Leader, and everything in between. "All I got to say is I must have done something right" I think that could be, that he - whoever...thinks that they must have something right, cause they choose to follow God, and now they have an amazing eternal life. | |

| I think its kinda hard to decipher whether its a girl or God. I guess that's why Relient K is crossover. Here are the lyrics I think point to God. Otherwise, it'd be a girl. "And I know that it’s so cliche To tell you that everyday Spent with you is the new best day of my life. Everyone watching us just turns away disgust This jealousy they can see that we’ve got it going on." He's saying spending time w/ God gets better and better & that everyone is jealous of the great relationship he and God have. "If anyone could make me a better person, you could" "You came along one day and you re-arranged my life" | |

| I believe it could be about both ... depending on how you connect with it personally. I mean in the bible it talks about Gods love and Love b/t man and women. So i think it could be a little of both. Also it could be about hes doen something right in Gods eyes to get something as great as this girl. | |

| Yeah housten987 is right the majority of RK songs can be about God/Girl but ever since i met my girlfriend (future wife) who i love so much they all make me think of her so this one realy seems true because i feel the same exact way like i "Must have done somthing right" and little things like its so cliche to tell her all the time how much she means and how great she is but this song i mean every line really could be applied to us. she makes me a better person and i love her | |

| This song is perfect. Literally. I made this our song when I was dating my first (and only so far) girlfriend. "I know that it's so cliche to tell you how every day I spend with you is the new best day of my life" That line is awesome, because even though I knew it had to get old, I loved telling her how she brightened things up. "racking my brain for a new improved way to let you know you're more to me than what I know how to say" I spent every day searching for the perfect way to say what cannot be said. | |

| I like the song. I can't personally decide if it's about God or a girl. Alot of Relient K's songs can swing either way. I also wanted to point out the oxymoronic-ness of woyloyboog's comment. A nice paraphrase would be "I'm a Christian, but I'm gonna swear now." To me that makes no sense. | |

| Firstly, it's "racking" my brain, not "wreckin". Pretty simple. Its about a girl. Theissen's in lurve, and he feels he "must have done something right" to deserve her. This is from a piece written about the upcoming album: “I always write about what I’m going through and I can’t avoid the fact that I’m just really happy and there are some good things going on,” says lead singer/guitarist/pianist Matt Thiessen. This happy state of mind lights up the exuberant first single “Must Have Done Something Right.” "This song represents something that I've wanted to create for a long time,” he explains. “It’s not a political commentary or a tear jerking emotion-piece, it’s just a feel good, fun song. Written at 3 a.m. with a smirk on my face, the song turned out to be something that you can tap your foot and smile to.” | |

| i know this is kind of late, but this is to DaPsychoRocker i'm a christian. a pretty strong believer at that. but look.. SHIT FUCK COCK SUCKING BITCH SLAPPING DAMN ASSHOLE. Am I any less of a believer now? Oh damn, just lost ten points of Christianity! Umm, no... And even if it did make me less of a Christian it's pretty clear that God forgives sins and all you have to do is ask for forgiveness. Not saying that makes up for any sin.. but anyway, that was just a dumb point. I think that this song was probably made about a girl but if you want it to be about God then awesome, good for you. Songs are pretty much able to go however YOU feel about them, not just them. :) | |
