| Sure, the whole God part comes in, but I really understand the "text versus romance" theme. You can only go far with words.. they're just zeroes and ones. | or is zeroes and ones about binary code? that's what i assumed.. i don't think the song is about one particular thing. it's the brain/heart theme, general themes of wearing out as you go on, giving up romantic thoughts for the facts of reality. i also don't think god is the only thing she's referring to when she says she believed in a lot more, i think she just means there are a lot of dreams we give up on, includings things as complex as gods and ghosts or as simple as.. happiness. | |

The computers in communicating allows for the science bit, along with the cold hard facts of distance. The latter is causing them to grow apart. And romance? It's what she craves.
