| Does anyone else this song has to do with 9/11 and terrorism and how we should as a country react to it? "our building have fallen, our walls all caved in, and we can't comprehend this sad state that we're in so we sift through the ashes of what we've become and surrender here one by one, so push us down" ---meaning that the terrorists have tried to push us down and take advantage of us and hurt us "and we get right back up again, the things you're telling me aren't making any sense, right back up again, I'm sick of wishing for someone else to come"--how america reacts...we get back up after 9/11 and start to stop wishing for things to come better but rather do better ? just my opinion? | |

| My favorite Rise Against song! Of course there's that wonderful energy that Tim puts into his singing- this song was incredible live, too. And no, Rise Against is NOT emo. | |

| yeah it isnt emo... and fuck yes, this song rocks. I saw them Live and when they played this the whole crowd went nuts and sang along. Rise Against are the best band ever, and sound even better live. RISE AGAINST 4 LIFE | |

| Yeah i think it's a metaphor for something else, cause to me it seems like Rise Against is a really metaphorical band. But yeah i totally agree with the the one above, it's one of the greatest things with Rise Against i think. | |

| The best post-9/11 song ever. Recognizes both the agony America went through and the suffering we inflicted on the world as a result. Brilliant, beautiful, and painful. | |

| i don't know if i think it's JUST about 9/11. granted that was probably the immediate inspiration, but the general idea i get from rise against is that they're a very globally concious band--so i personally think that this song is about terrorist attacks in general, whether they be here in the US, or anywhere else in the world. | |
