| This song is an amzing almost harmony IMO. i agree with fear it does rival 'Swing Life Away'. Tims voice carries alot of emotion, and the way he is able to work it in with the accoustic sounds of the song is incredible, i alsoi think the female voice in this song adds a new dimension to Rise Againsts work. I think this song is about a failed relationship, and almost to point where the male feels as thogh he is being left behind (the roadside), he is also being hung up and out to dry... just like the washing, just left there to dry. | |

| This is a beautiful song- rivals 'Swing Life Away' in my eyes. Tim constantly amazes me with the amount of emotion he can carry in his voice- "And hang me up and out to dry." I think it's almost definately sang from the point of view of someone in the aftermath of a relationship. The idea of being left "at the roadside" is so sad- it suggests he feels used up, torn up, discarded. Great song. There whole new album is fantastic I'm so impressed with it. | |

| When I first heard this song, I was impressed by the overall sound of it. So it has a great first impression. However, this song really isn't that deep. How many songs are there about someone who feels lonely and confused at the end of a longterm relationship? Very cliche-y, but still a beautiful song. | |

| i agree with rusty, he tries to make her love him but nothing he does works, putting himself through pain just to get with her, but after a while he realizes its time to go, if she doesnt feel the same they obviously weren't meant for each other | |

| I think this song talks about some sort of relationship that has its trust broken The singer/whoever misses and still loves the other person but theres not much he can do about the situation, and then he realizes that its best to let go | |

| OK i think every1 is about to disagree with me. But i think it could be a realtionship, but i think it means when everybody knows where there life is heading and like the persons friends moving on wiht thier lives and knowing what they were going to do and how they were gona do it, and the fact it says "And I don’t know how we Woke up one day somehow thought we knew Exactly what we’re suppose to do" Everything happened so suddenly and he doesnt no know how everbody could decide so fast and that he feels like he has been left behind by his friends as they all start to succede and he is still struggerling to find the truth! | |

| It could be a relationship. Or the aftermath of one. Where one person decided to end it when the other didn't feel like it was. They have left over emotions and memories. They're confused and lost | |
