i haven't listened to this song in years, but my thoughts on it haven't changed. i listened to it today and it is still as heartwrenching and meaningful. i think the meaning is a little more simple than what previous people have posted. i believe it's about running into an old friend who is too embarassed to see you because of their new lifestyle or whatever the reason for your falling out was (though it could be just not seeing each other or talking for awhile). either way, they have new friends who you know don't really care about them, but you still care about them and can see through them like before.

I think this song is based around peer pressure, and that the girl being sung about has moved into a new, more fashionable and trendy group of friends. the singer feels bitter about this, not because he wants to follow her, but because she's blind to the fact that he cares so much about her.

I think it's about running into your ex who f'ed you over and being still crazy about her, then she tells you how great things are going for her but it's obvious that she's lying and she's miserable and her life is really f'ed up. She starts being nice because she knows she screwed up with you but you realize that you're over her; still you feel bad that her life is so awful and that however she f'ed you over is dragging her down (bad crowd, drugs, cheating, whatever.)

She's probably a daft bint who's got herself hooked on coke or something else. All her friends are peer pressuring her into it. He actually cares, she's screwed him over for some reason but he still cares. He knows he's a fool but at the end of the day, what can you do if you love someone? I usually character assassinate them in my head and stop loving them. Of course it would be easy in this case cause they're taking drugs and stupid and stupid people suck giant donkeys.

This song is also my favorite off of united by fate. I think its about the female friend of the singer and how the fake crowd she has befriended is using her. The music is really well matched to the content he's singing about too. This sends shivers down my spine.

then again it might just be about an old and dear friend he had a falling out with, maybe his friend fell in with a phony crowd, this isnt necessarily a love song about a girl

This song speaks to me. =). Its about the singer slowly falling in love with a good friend of his who ends up breaking his heart. He wants to tell her that her new friends aren't deserving of her company but he can't. It's a good song.

this is my fav song off united by fate, its so mellow at first and then just builds up. I think its about her rejecting him too. Its totally amazing. :-)
