| Really, this is one of the best straight up love songs I've ever heard. I was browsing for songs that say just plain "I love you" through my media player. Over thousands of songs, I was surprised to find that this was at the top, even above Edwin's "I'll Be." | |

| This is the only song from Rob's solo career (that I've heard anyway) that doesn't make me want to strangle him every time it comes on the radio. Though I do enjoy the video for his first single. I love this song. It's beautiful and absolutely wonderful. Just the line "Tell me everything you want me to be" and the way he sings it is so heartfelt...*sigh*... | |

| ok so apparently the dud wasn't there for the girl at first when she really needed him then he realized that he should have been there so he's all like "i couldn't tell you but i'm telling you now" and apparently the girl's a mess so "just let me hold you while you're fallingapart just let me hold you and we'll both fall down" then he goes on all about how he's gonna be there for her "you may need me there to carry all your weight". then the girl's worried that she's a burden so he's saying "but you're no burden i assure" so then he gets all romantic again ending (at least on the radio) with the chorus which you all know i hope | |

| The illness is some kind of rare immune system disease os some sort. I believe Mari is alright now, but I have to imagine it was a hard point for both Rob and Mari. Man, first Rob's mother gets sick and spawns a great song, then Rob's wife gets sick and spawns a great song. Poor Rob. But this is a beautiful song, and it gives hope that Rob could have more solo success. Maybe his softening isn't a bad thing? | |

| I think that the song tells us that life is hard sometimes and that you should allow somebody to share the pain with you when you are in dire need of help or assistence. he is showing that there are people in your life that would be able to assuage your miseries and save you from oblivion. | |

| I love what everyone's said...I actually first heard this song on TV when the Red Cross or another relief group was doing a black and white montage of pictures from Hurricane Katrina and I dunno if that commercial is still going...but even then in light of all the devastation...the song still represented endurance and the human spirit and quality that exists for one person to be there for another..it is truly what makes the world keep going.. | |

| I read a recent article at the time of the albums release where Rob said he wrote this for his wife during a time when she had a 'lingering illness'. It didn't describe the illness but I think it is a very pretty song that shows he wanted her to know that he was going through this with her and he'd be right by her side during it all. | |
